“I do it hard, I do it strong, I do it at this level, I do it with status” - ROSALÍA

Feia is proud to present Con Altura, a multi-artist reimagining, reframing, and re-interpretation of the Traubersyth Collection in Los Angeles.

Con Altura features over a dozen artists including: Sophie Trauberman, Luke Forsyth, Gina Tuzzi, Emma Kemp,  Thomas Martinez Pilnik, Hunter Harvey, Sarit Halo, Sharif Farag, Jess Ackerman, Anna Valdez, Nicholas Bono Kennedy, Machine, Miller Robinson, Taylor Lee, Daniel Wroe,  Nancy Pippin, Christopher Chiappa, Jeremy Shockley, and Christopher DeLoach

As the inaugural presentation of this Los Angeles–based collection, Con Altura spotlights artists rooted in LA, while weaving in the work of those with a more peripheral - yet still palpable - connection to the city. Mirroring the spirit of the collection itself, the show is elemental, fast, and loose, layered with double entendres, "iykyk" references, and a deeply held, tender reverence for each artist represented. As we all begin  to recover, to rebuild, to reset, we do it hard, and we do it strong.

Feia

Founded by husband-duo Thomas Martinez Pilnik and Jake Cavallo, Feia celebrates failure, brings people together, and curates beautiful spaces with unconventional features.  Feia, meaning Ugly in Portuguese,  is more than just an insult. It expresses curiosity, intrigue, excitement, novelty, beauty, disgust, and everything in between.Pilnik - an Artist and Curator raised in London by Brazilian parents -  grew up hearing the phrase “Ai, Que Coisa Feia!”.  It could describe a reaction his mum had while he bit his nails, a scraggle-toothed dog walking down the street, or even a stunningly opulent piece of art sitting at the Tate Modern. Cavallo is an Art Director for major films including Oppenheimer, Nope, and Beverly Hills Cop. He uses this extensive design experience to expand Feia into new territories.

The Traubersyth Collection

The Traubersyth Collection is the evolving art collection of Sophie Trauberman and Luke Forsyth, shaped by their nearly decade-long relationship, and their shared commitment to celebrating the visual arts within Los Angeles and beyond. With over 150 works, the collection is regularly re-curated by the couple to infuse their home with vibrancy, reflection, and inspiration for themselves and their guests.

This occasion marks the first time they have invited an outside curator to interpret the collection, further deepening their connection to the works and expanding the dialogue between the art, the space, and the community we welcome in.
